Ready to Go!!
Hi everyone! I am at home in Smyrna, TN spending some time with my fam, learning all I can about Sierra Leone, and trying to be patient as I wait to leave. Something I learned at UMVIM Connect is that in the ministry it is all about God's timing. I am learning though that patience truly is a virtue! This summer working at Northside UMC has taught me about being flexible and having an open mind and heart to where God leads. Sometimes no matter how much we plan, God will steer us in a completely different direction or enrich our plans even more than we could have ever possibly imagined! God has given me such an amazing opportunity to care for His people. I have never been more excited! Thank you to all who are partnering with me in this ministry through your prayers and financial support. There is no way this would happen without you! I leave for Sierra Leone on September 2nd. My next entry will be as soon as I can get to a computer when I get there. Peace be with you.

Chelsea...I am so excited for you! I know you will do amazing things in Africa and I can't wait to hear all about it! Be safe traveling...how will you make it without me, Glenn and Daphne??!? Travel group #1 will be right there with you in spirit! I am so proud of you and so blessed to have spent some time with you this summer. Take care...I'll keep studying up on the Peanut Butter Project!
With much love and with many blessings,
Kimberly
Hi Chelsea,
I regret that I have not had a chance to meet you. I have been on the VIM Team to Sierra Leone for 3 years. I know you are in for a life changing experience. You are about to step into another world and you will be able to show God's love to so many in so many wonderful ways. I have grown to love the country and people of Sierra Leone as I know you will. I hope to stay in touch with you during your year. I will lift you up in my prayers. If I can help in anyway, please email me. God bless you with traveling mercies. Tell Sam Pieh, Vicki Jo expresses her well wish for he, Claire and their ministry.

Hey Chels,
I hope you made it safely and without problems to Freetown. I have been thinking of you constantly and miss you already. I can only imagine the sheer joy and excitement that is running through as you read this. I'm extremely grateful to have someone who cares and loves people who are in need as much as you do. "Jesus says when you feed someone in his name, you are feeding him!" Keith Green. Oh man i love you

Howdy! Chuck we are awaiting your first words! I just hope they don't start with, "today I was stuck in a pot!" or "This new pet lion I have met!" or "I am brining home a bigger reptile!"
No, seriously we are all praying for you and know you are happy and healthy and all is well. Keep the Faith!!
Glenn
